Naomh Cartha reports good fishing so far in April

Mick Lockyear, crewing aboard the Naomh Cartha, reports that they have had a number of trips so far this month with great fishing on the Ling Rocks. Skipper Ian has put them on a few of his favourite marks and these have come up trumps. On a trip at the very start of the month both Ian and Mick had hectic pollack fishing with fish going to 9lbs.

The weather of course has helped the lads to get out to those outer reefs where the fishing can be class. All month we have been blessed with light winds.

Last Saturday, the 17th April, the lads had a full charter from Killmallock SAC. This time 'Skipper in Chief,' Ger Keohane came along. Ger wanted to make sure the lads were doing things properly and catching fish for his clients!!!!!

No need to worry Ger, the lads are doing a fine job in your absence. Here's Ger relaxing and getting in a bit of fishing himself.....sure the lads are doing all the work.

Mick reports, that although the fishing wasn't as hectic as the last few outings, they had a steady stream of fish from the oft with plenty of pollack and ling showing. They soon added to that with cod, wrasse, and several other species. All in all a great day was had and the lads from Killmallock were 'mighty' pleased.

If you'd fancy a day out fishing in the Naomh Cartha why not contact the lads thru their website here at http://www.corkanglingcharters.com/

and you may end up with a box of fish like this (some of the catch from last Saturday - well done the boys from Killmallock):
