Autumn reports from Lee Star

Skipper of the Lee Star, John Geary reports that he has been able to get out more often this September than last year.

The weather has been relatively settled and, as a result, since the Cobh International Deep Sea Angling Festival the Lee Star has been out more than usual.

John has been happy with the quality of fishing so far. Although, the numbers of cod are not as plentiful as last season he has still managed to get his clients into some cod fishing. The pollack fishing as been superb and many of his clients have been racking up the species.

Figuring highly in the catches have been many good red gurnard. Here's hoping that this quality of fishing extends into the winter months and that the weather remains relatively settled. If it keeps up it'll certainly make the winter that bit shorter!!!

If you'd like to book the Lee Star for a day's fishing you can contact John on 00-353-21-4812435 or check out the Lee Star website here.
